The Lodge at Kilbuck Creek is nestled within 200 acres of serene Illinois woodland, and it’s the perfect venue for your next getaway. With eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms, it provides more than enough space for up to 40 overnight guests. Spacious common areas, an indoor pool, and a full kitchen make The Lodge ideal for friends, extended family, or teams of various sizes.
Vacations at Kilbuck Creek are always private, and exclusive to your group alone. Moreover, our staff is available to respond to any and all questions—both prior to and during your stay. Horse Kennel Suite
The Horse Kennel Suite has been transformed from our kennel and feeding barn, to this beautiful cabin suite. Just a stones throw away from the main lodge, this suite has all the charm of cournty living, including our horses that come to visit along the fence just outside the back door. The full kitchen has refurbished cabinets from an old farm house, and the bathroom continues that vibe with retro vynl flooring that will make you smile when you walk in. The cozy fireplace can be enjoyed at the seating area around, or the comfort of your bed. And for added fun for the little ones, there is a loft above the bathroom that you can access by ladder.

Butterfly Suite
The Butterfly Suite is a charming little cabin about 100 yards from the main lodge. It has sleeping for up to 6 including a couch that pulls out for extra sleeping. The kitchenette is perfect for your own prep space, but with the luxury of having access to the large kitchen in the main lodge. The bathroom is handicap accessible and has a beautiful walk-in shower. Enjoy some fresh air on the patio right off the living room space, and enjoy the butterfly garden right outside the front door.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms
All of our bedrooms are heated, cooled, and luxuriously appointed—so you can expect nothing but the best when you stay at Kilbuck Creek. Up to 40 can stay in The Lodge at one time, and we’re more than happy to answer any questions you have about our accommodations.
With almost as many bathrooms as there are bedrooms, morning and evening routines can go off without a hitch. The amenities in each bathroom are as follows:
- PRIMARY BEDROOM (main floor) King bed and Queen sofa sleeper – ensuite bathroom with jetted tub
- BEDROOM 2 (main floor) Queen bed and Full over Queen Bunk – ensuite bathroom handicap accessibility
- BEDROOM 3 (upper level) Queen bed and two twin over twin bunk beds – ensuite bathroom
- BEDROOM 4 (upper level) Queen bed with Queen sofa sleeper
- BEDROOM 5 (upper level) Queen bed, twin over twin bunk, and twin sofa sleeper.
- BEDROOM 6 (upper level) Queen bed and twin over twin bunk
- BEDROOM 7 (lower level) 2-King beds and 2- twin over twin bunks
- BEDROOM 8 (lower level) Queen bed and a twin sofa sleeper
- DETACHED BATHROOMS: There is a full bathroom in the upper level, a half bathroom on the main level off the kitchen (handicap accessible), a full bathroom on the lower level, and a full bathroom in the pool house.
We provide all of the bed linens and towels required for your stay, as well as a washer and dryer. If you need it, you’ll also have access to an iron and ironing board.

Comfort & Dining
Although guests should plan to bring their own food and prepare their own meals, the facilities at The Lodge ensure that mealtime is fun for the whole family—or friend groups of almost any size.
- Make preparations with our gas stove, gas oven, microwave, or grill. You’ll also have access to a toaster and a coffee maker, as well as common pantry items.
- Our well-equipped kitchen includes all of the pots, pans, serving platters, utensils, and dishes you’ll need to bring everything together.
- Our dining area features a 16-person buffet table, as well as seating for up to ten additional guests. A child’s high-chair is available upon request.
- The Lodge has a dishwasher, as well as three refrigerators—one in the kitchen, one on the lower level, and one in the pool house nearby.

Entertainment
The Lodge offers an all-season pool, as well as an all-season hot tub—but the fun doesn’t end there. With four indoor common areas and plenty of outdoor space, it’s easy to get everyone together for movie nights and activities.
Our large TV and DVD player are yours to use as you see fit, and with complimentary WiFi, you can enjoy any streaming services or programming that you like. Inside the cabin, you’ll find board games and outdoor yard games, as well as a pool table with everything you’ll need to play.

On the Grounds
During the warmer months, there’s nothing better than spending time on The Lodge’s wraparound deck, complete with a covered breezeway and beautiful views. Even during winter, you can find the perfect escape on the three miles of walkable trail that crisscross our grounds. Although we do ask that you refrain from feeding our horses, you’ll have plenty to do when you start to explore the 200 acres that we call home:
- Get everyone together on the Lodge’s deck and patio, or visit our gazebo to relax in the shade.
- If you bring your own equipment, you can kayak or canoe down our own personal stretch of Kilbuck Creek—or dip your toes in when the weather starts to heat up.
You’re free to use our grill for as long as you stay. Our lawn and garden provide the perfect outdoor gathering space, so you can keep friends and family close while you prepare the evening meal.
Planning Your Stay
Whether you book your stay on VRBO or contact us directly, you’ll need to place a deposit to secure your spot. This deposit is 100% refundable if you cancel your reservation at least 60 days prior to the first day of your planned vacation.
Check-in starts at 3 PM on the day of your arrival, and guests are required to check out by 11 AM on the last day of your trip.
- What We Offer: We provide all of the bed linens, pool towels, and bath towels that your stay requires—as well as everything you’ll need to wash, dry, and iron your fabrics. During your stay, you’ll have full use of our trails and grounds, as well as access to our kitchen supplies, utensils, pots and pans. You are also welcome to make use of our gas grill, pool table, large TV, board games, and DVD player. Just don’t forget to check out the all-season indoor pool and hot tub, too!
- What to Bring from Home: Please bring a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and any other personal care items that you might wish to access during your stay. We have a full kitchen with everything you’ll need to cook, but you should bring your own food.
- Let Us Cook for You: Guests are generally expected to provide their own food and prepare their own meals, but our in house catering can help you with any meals.
- Accessibility: All buildings at Kilbuck Creek have ramp access, and are wheelchair-accessible. Our indoor pool and jacuzzi are handicap-accessible, too. Some (but not all) bathrooms in the lodge offer handicap-accessible features.
